Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD)

Pulmonary Rehabilitation is part of the multi-disciplinary approach to patient care. This program’s objective is to provide a local collaboration with Bankstown Health Service Pulmonary Rehabilitation Unit to increase the ability of patients with chronic lung disease to understand their disease and play an active role in assessing and managing their symptoms.

The program activities include development of referral process to pulmonary rehabilitation and a respiratory action plan for patients with chronic lung problems; promote and distribute a checklist for people with Chronic Obstruction Pulmonary Disease, and increase patient access to spirometery.
