Antenatal Shared Care

The Antenatal Shared Care Program (ANSC) is one of the Division’s longest running programs. The program is a collaborative program between Bankstown GP Division Inc and Bankstown-Lidcombe Health Service. The aim of the program is to provide optimal and timely care to women and there families through-out their pregnancy.

Shared Care is sharing your pregnancy care between your family doctor (GP) and the Antenatal Clinic at Bankstown-Lidcombe Hospital. The program is for women with an uncomplicated pregnancy. Most visits during the pregnancy will be with the GP and the occasional check-up at the hospital. Should problem arise during the pregnancy the patient will be transferred back for hospital only specialist care at the Antenatal Clinic.
